Laurents

Some places just feel like home.

No matter how many new restaurants open, there are places you find yourself coming back to over and over again. For us, one of those places is Laurents.

Last year, we were genuinely saddened when their original home in Taytayan was severely affected by the September 2025 earthquake. It wasn’t just a building. It was where countless birthdays were celebrated, family dinners were shared, first dates happened, and comfort food became memories.

For a while, we honestly wondered if we’d ever get to enjoy our favorites again.

Then came the good news.

They found a new home in Barangay Sto. Niño.

And we couldn’t have been happier.

It’s always inspiring to see local businesses refuse to give up. Instead of letting adversity define them, they rebuilt, started over, and continued doing what they do best—serving good food to the people who love them.

Every time we visit, we always order the same thing.

Pasta Negra.

Made with squid ink, this dish is bold, rich, and packed with seafood flavor. It isn’t trying to be fancy. It simply lets the ingredients speak for themselves. Every bite has that deep, savory taste that keeps us coming back, and if you’re a seafood lover, this is one dish you absolutely shouldn’t skip.

Supporting local isn’t just about trying new places. It’s also about coming back to the businesses that have been part of our story. The ones that kept going despite the challenges. The ones that chose to rebuild instead of giving up.

We’re glad you’re back, Laurents.

And yes…

We’ll still be ordering the Pasta Negra. 🍝🦑

Have you visited their new location in Sto. Niño yet? What’s your go-to order?
