Fuel prices keep going up, and everyone is talking about it. But let’s be honest about who’s really taking the hit. It’s the middle class.

The poor receive subsidies, ayuda, and fuel assistance and they should, because they need it. The rich, on the other hand, have buffers, businesses, and tax advantages that allow them to absorb rising costs without drastically changing their lifestyle. But the middle? The working class, the daily commuters, the small business owners, the employees earning just enough to get by they get nothing.

No subsidies. No relief. No protection. Just higher gas prices, higher transport costs, higher food prices, and higher everything. And yet, the salary stays the same. The bills stay the same. The expectations stay the same.

We are the ones adjusting every single day. Cutting expenses. Skipping small comforts. Thinking twice before every full tank. We are not poor enough to qualify for help, but not rich enough to be unaffected. So we carry the burden quietly.

This is not about blaming anyone. It is about pointing out a gap that keeps getting ignored. Because if fuel prices continue to rise and no real relief reaches the middle, then the system is not just strained it is unbalanced.

And someone needs to say it.

We said what we said. 💚
